If New York City was in Bali, this apartment would fit right in. @tfthishouse is the epitome of eclectic home interior design - a red brick wall surrounded by rattan furniture, geometric artwork and industrial furnishing scattered around.
It is almost impossible to describe this apartment with just our words, so without further ado, introducing our Q&A with Farrah and Ee Loong from @tfthishouse:
Can you tell us abit more about yourselves? (e.g. what do you do for fun or to relax?)
Farrah: I enjoy the occasional baking sesh & am a self-proclaimed home decor enthusiast
Ee Loong: Gymming is my passion, more of a lifestyle choice at this point
We both love to wind down after a long day listening to the Beatles and Pink Floyd vinyl records
Describe to us your home decor style (and your home inspirations)
Mish mash of what we like - Balinese and a little bit of the New York loft look. Cement screed flooring, Black Framed Glass Panel Doors, rattan everything
How did you come up with the inspirations before your renovation? How did you pitch to your ID your dream house?
Inspos were mostly drawn from Pinterest and IG. Mood board and visuals shared with ID and they made the magic work.
Which is your favourite area of your home and why?
F: Kitchen, not because i cook often but because of the open shelving and the Royal Blue laminate on our kitchen carpentry
E: Study, it’s the place i spend most of my time other than the living room as that is where i work in the day time
How do you style your home, and what do you look out for when you buy home decor pieces?
Whatever tickles our fancy and basically Taobao’s search algorithm is out of this world. But of course we pick decor pieces that fits our home
When it comes to scents, what are some of your favourites?
Subtle, sweet, floral, citrus and fruity freshness
Tell us what you like about Pristine? (any particular scents or aesthetic)
Our favourite Pristine scents are Signature Himalayan Tea, English Country Inn, Sakura and Swiss Château. We love that Pristine’s products are is aesthetic looking and with minimalistic emblems.
Tell us how you use Pristine (e.g. which scents/products are better for which rooms)
Soy candles at night time in bedroom for the aromatic indulgence, Reed diffusers at different spaces in our home such as living room and hallway, Mini humidifier aroma diffuser at study space and lastly, Scented wax cubes repurposed as cabinet freshener.
